Our purpose is to build a state-of-the-art software platform to enable and economically incentivize producers and consumers of electricity to go 100% renewable. Our aim is to empower renewables through cutting-edge and highly customer-centered technology. We are currently developing our P³ platform in close cooperation with our trusted partners and will update this space in the coming months.
Who we are
Our management team has decades of experience in building high scaleable, artificially intelligent and optimization-driven technology while combining backgrounds in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Economics.
After receiving his Master’s degree from Rotterdam School of Management, Alex built a Sales and Product Management background in the Adtech industry (3 years at Google and 4 years at Sociomantic Labs). In 2018, he decided to found frequenz.io and follow his passion for renewable energy sources. His conviction that the future of clean energy lies in the convergence of production and consumption of electricity, led him to co-found resonanz.
Yiqun grew up in China and experienced the impact of clean technology first-hand. While obtaining his Master’s degree from RWTH Aachen, he spent 3 years at E.ON working on distributed energy resources. Yiqun then joined DIGIMONDO to help digitize our cities using IoT technologies. After 3 years, Yiqun became part of frequenz.io’s team in a bid to digitize the renewable energy sector. His passion for renewable energy sources prompted him to co-found resonanz.
Lead Software Engineer, Co-Founder
Gautam is a software developer with a deep curiosity for an inexhaustible range of complex topics. After having worked in Telecommunications as a backend developer for 8 years (Motorola and Benu), he became a part of Sociomantic Labs for 6 years. In 2019, he joined frequenz.io where he paved the way to harmonize his extraordinary development skills and his curiosity by establishing resonanz.
Senior Software Engineer, Co-Founder
David obtained his Master’s degree in Physics (Diplom-Physiker) at TU Berlin before joining Sociomantic Labs as the very first employee in 2009, less than half a year after incorporation. In 2019, he became a part of frequenz.io – again, from the get-go. As a technical lead, he built the backend core of both companies. Given his passion for Electrical Engineering and his ambition to help promote the growth of renewables, he established resonanz.
